Internet Marketing Food Chain
The Internet Marketing food chain from the top down consist of buyers, conduits for advertising such as CPC (Cost Per Click) and CPA (Cost Per Action) networks. A few well known CPCs are Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing formally Overture, MSN AdCenter, Bidvertiser and MIVA. A few CPA networks would be Commission Junction, Azoogle, MaxBounty and Modern Click. Merchants use companies facilities like the ones above to engage in CPC and CPA activities.
Internet Marketing is constantly changing and top search engines have so much influence I would consider the statements made such as “Google is God” to be true as it pertains to Internet Marketing. When Google says jump, the internet marketing food chain not only jumps but evolves
For example, there was a rumor some time ago that fellow AdSensers (Google’s shadow salaried content network) paid very close attention to statements made by Scott “Nada-Guru” Boulch in his ebooks “The Death of AdSense” and “Life After AdSense“. This was a viral marketing campaign in which Scott persuaded many AdSensers that Google was penalizing Click Arbitragers that had lousy landing pages riddled with PPC ads by reducing the amount of pay-outs. Though the penalties may have been true, Google’s intention is to clean up the web from all the SPAM sites that are out there. He even used terms like “Bottom Feeders” to label content network publishers claiming that the big money was in arbitraging the gaps between PPC and PPA (Pay Per Action) affiliate advertisers such as CJ (Commission Junction), Azoogle, MaxBounty and now “Scott’s” very own affiliate conduit Modern Click.
Scott calls the program Click Flipping which is simply nothing more than high-tech Click Arbitrage. His Click Flipping technique’s and tools that he provides are very en lighting. My personal experience with it, and yes I did give it a test run was that the amount of capital investment in order to see a “hoped for” return on investment was a risk that I was not willing to take. I do however encourage anyone that is remotely interested in Click Arbitrage to give Scott’s free e-books a read as they are very informative. Google is now entering the CPA arena with its own version that should be quite interesting. Other methods are only limited by creativity in search marketing and technologies. Because of new technologies such as VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) the latest conduit surfacing is PPC (Pay Per Call)
