Google Turns Off Organic Local Listings for SEO Companies

Posted by admin on 4 November 2009

Well its official.  We have verified that Google has turned off local map listings for geo-targeted searches using the term “SEO” and city.  San Antonio SEO and Austin SEO and Dallas SEO are down - just the good ole trusted organics.  Considering the ease of optimizing Google Local and the handful of metrics and theories on Google’s Local Search methodologies it is obviously highly abused.  Googles Local listings are plagued with fictious reviews as well, especially by unethical SEO companies globally.  We figured they were going to clean house soon, but not remove them completely!
